Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women across all races and ethnicities. About 1 in 8 women in the United States will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. The American Cancer Society estimates about 2,670 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed, and about 500 men will die from breast cancer in 2019.
