Intimate partner violence (IPV) is violence or aggression that occurs in a close relationship, varying in frequency and severity. IPV has lasting impacts on the health and well-being of the entire family involved. The four types of intimate partner violence include physical violence, sexual violence, stalking, and psychological aggression.
